BIC SURF BOARDS
Vancouver Island has some excellent surf spots, including Jordan River and Sombrio Beach, both just short drives from Victoria. To keep you shredding waves, we carry BIC surfboards for rental. These boards are tough and durable, but still performance oriented. 5’10 Fish
The versatile Pocket Rocket is renowned as the ideal first surfboard for grommets as much as it regarded as an excellent small-wave board for accomplished surfers of approximately 45-70kg.
Truly reflecting its name, the Pocket Rocket is a dynamo that offers the stability and buoyancy of a longboard with the manoeuvrability of a shortboard packing a lot of volume into its short length. The secret is its short, fat design that incorporates a wide nose and tail, allowing the Pocket Rocket to catch waves early for a board of its size. While suitable for small children just starting out, it nonetheless packs a punch when ridden by a more experienced surfer.
6’7 Short Board
Looking for a board that will accelerate through cut-backs, off-the-lip and mid-face manoeuvres?
You’ll be stoked with the new heights that this performance driven, durable, shortboard will take you. Intermediate surfers agree it’s the perfect first shortboard, advanced surfers will find this a reliable board across a wide range of wave sizes and conditions. Smaller kids will love the 6’7” as it offers plenty of board to get them going as its standard shortboard dimensions have been slightly increased to cater to more of a beginner/intermediate market.
7’0″ Egg
The brand new EGG 7’0’’ is an uncompromisingly modern shape, featuring seriously wide nose and tail sections, plus a squeaky-tight rocker profile, to give an excellent paddle take-off, exceptional planing, and even better manoeuvrability.
It’s THE perfect board for 50 – 70kg surfers wanting to learn and progress easily, with lots of big surf sensations right from the start. But the EGG 7 is also a great choice for more experienced surfers looking to ride all kinds of waves, with total confidence in BIC’s DURA-TEC construction. Available in the original Tri-fin Thruster configuration, it’s a genuine all-terrain wave board!
7’3 Mini Malibu
The Mini-Malibu is the perfect all rounder. A fabulous entry-level board for new surfers, it features a refined combination of stability for ease of paddling and enough performance to make it a fun board for the more advanced surfer.

7’6″ Mini Nose Rider
The new DURA-TEC 7’6 Mini Nose Rider is perfect for enjoying the fun nose-riding capability of a longboard, while still being as maneuverable as an EGG board.
Shaped by the legend Gérard Dabbadie from Hossegor, France, this board features a wide nose section, tight rocker profile and concave, and a beveled hull design for easy nose riding; combined with a wide rear section and pronounced V-Shape on the bottom giving the board excellent handling in radical turns and tight carves on the face of the wave. With almost the same volume as a genuine long-board,
the board is accessible for all skill levels.
7’9” Malibu
Perhaps the most versatile of the DURA-TEC range, the Malibu is an excellent combination of longboard stability and manoeuvrability, with just enough length to make it easy to control.
Its user-friendly design provides ample floatation to catch all types of waves while the performance shape enables ‘down-the-line’ fun for first timers to advanced surfers. The Malibu gives lightweights and smaller surfers an easy to carry, durable and stable “big-board” feel for starting out.
